I started this year by diving into some books I've had on my TBR for a while. I had a good mix of genres this month.

  1. The Ever King by L.J Andrews: Wow, I can just say I didn't expect this to be so good. Think Pirates of the Caribbean but with some spice. Bonus it's on KU as well!

  2. The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides: I have seen this on TikTok for a while and all the gushing reviews for it so I thought I must read it. WOAH, The plot twist I didn't see coming. A great face-paced thriller.

  3. Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros: A good second book in the series. Lots of tension angst and of course spice. Will be interested to see where the next book goes.

  4. The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson: LOVE. Wolf shifter romance and so very spicy. This was my first book with Wolves and Omegaverse and I loved it.

  5. Yellowface by R.F Kuang: Great original story, I was not expecting the ending. Really keeps you on the edge of your seat.

  6. Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas: Always love a SJM book and this one was amazing I did the tandem read with Tower of Dawn and I highly recommend it if you are tossing up what to do.

  7. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas: After all the reviews of this book saying it is the worst because it follows Chaol I was hesitant going into it and wasn't sure what to expect. I loved it! I thought it really stood out in the series and made me excited to read his story.

  8. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas: Last book in the Throne of Glass Series and I was a mix of excited and upset to be reading it. It ended the series so well and really goes through all the emotions. Get ready to get the tissues out.

  9. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman: Finished off the month with something to change it up after TOG. Was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. Follows the life of Eleanor and all her ups and downs while getting flashbacks into her childhood and how it impacted who she is today.

Let me know if you have read any of these books and what your thoughts are!
